0:01
hi everyone this is carmine danesco and
0:04
welcome to another edition of pitch to
0:07
the pros we're product developers
0:10
inventors are pitching their product for
0:12
a chance to get their items inventions
0:16
out to the public on HSN's American
0:20
Dreams so I have with me the man who
0:23
started the home shopping craze he's
0:26
introduced or pitched probably close to
0:28
a hundred thousand products I mean that
0:31
is an unbelievable amount of products
0:35
and inventions that are out there he was
0:36
presented with the legend of war from
0:38
HSN he's TV Million Dollar Man mr. Bob
0:42
Circosta I was just guessing you Mike
0:56
Lee I think years ago they said
0:59
something like 75,000 yeah that's
1:02
probably pretty close just since last
1:06
Tuesday you know it's unbelievable like
1:11
when I throw those numbers around it is
1:13
it is got to be insane the amount of
1:17
products that you've seen yeah because
1:19
when you figure that that's the amount
1:21
of products that I've actually pitched
1:23
obviously I've seen even more than that
1:26
in order to get to that number so yeah
1:29
see products all the time and and people
1:33
come up to me with products and show me
1:35
products and me about that you know I
1:38
love doing it I love doing it because
1:41
you know the entrepreneurial spirit is
1:43
you know and as you are also a strong
1:45
believer in and and then that's the way
1:48
it's done and now today there are more
1:51
platforms than ever before to get your
1:53
product out there and that's what we're
1:55
talking about here and you designed this
1:57
program which i think is just a great
1:59
great service to entrepreneurs to be
2:03
able to pitch their product from the
2:05
comfort of their own home so it's a
2:07
great idea and it's an honor to be here
2:08
well thank you and we appreciate it I
2:10
know you're busy we put it together so
2:13
that
2:13
we can't get products but you know we
2:15
just have people come in and they fight
2:16
to fly in or they have to stay in hotel
2:18
and it's a it's a big expense you know
2:20
an inventor is even myself an inventor
2:22
we have limited resources and we want to
2:24
get that product to you you want to show
2:26
you and instead of tracking you down in
2:28
a restaurant or something and or
2:29
stalking you we figure this is an easy
2:31
way to get a product in front you use
2:33
some of your time and I know you're
2:34
super busy and we appreciate it I mean
2:36
the other day I was watching HSN I mean
2:38
you were on like every other product I
2:40
mean it's insane yeah it was last Friday
2:44
I think I did five shows on Friday which
2:47
is fun though I thoroughly enjoy you
2:50
know coming up and American Dreams HSN
2:57
American Dreams as you talked about is
3:00
that is such a powerful powerful
3:02
platform and HSN just to give you a very
3:05
quick background a couple of years ago
3:07
HSN came to me and they said Bob we want
3:09
to start this entrepreneurial based
3:11
program and asked if I would go out and
3:14
find entrepreneurs and bring them on the
3:17
air and so that's what I've been doing
3:18
at HSN for the majority of the last
3:21
couple of years and we have brought
3:24
literally hundreds and hundreds and
3:26
hundreds of entrepreneurs on and they've
3:28
been able to show their product because
3:30
you know no matter what business you're
3:33
in you got to either have a product or a
3:35
service well if you have a product you
3:38
have to be able to have the right
3:40
message and you got to be able to have
3:42
the right distribution and a lot of
3:44
people have great products and they know
3:46
their products are wonderfully well and
3:48
they have a great message but nobody is
3:51
seeing it mmm but HSN American Dreams to
3:55
their credit does they have come up with
3:57
a way for entrepreneurs to really get
3:59
their product out there so I'm really
4:01
anxious to to hear what we have today
4:04
yep so that's great and you know people
4:06
don't realize the expense that HSN is
4:08
going through to cut out and carve out
4:11
some time for American dreams I think
4:13
it's awesome you're right because time
4:16
is their commodity I mean that's that's
4:19
when they value the most their airtime
4:21
and they are willing like you just
4:23
said to to give that in exchange for the
4:26
entrepreneur to get out but they just
4:28
send since the beginning I mean since
4:30
day one forty years ago
4:33
day one they HSN has been the hunters
4:37
right and so all we're doing is just you
4:42
know keeping that going and it's a
4:44
wonderful opportunity no it's great it's
4:47
great and I appreciate it your time what
4:49
they're doing so we have three three of
4:52
inventors entrepreneurs on the show
4:54
today we have Susan
4:57
Kerlin we have Craig helper and Heidi
4:59
wicker they all have products to pick
5:02
you and I was giving them a little bit
5:05
of briefing before you jumped on they're
5:07
gonna get they're gonna get three
5:09
minutes to pitch their product and then
5:11
we're gonna ask them some questions
5:12
about the item I wanted to have a big
5:16
clock that's on the screen I'm still
5:17
working on getting that done so it kind
5:19
of counts down and we could have a lot
5:21
of pressure on them but can we show my
5:26
new microphone yep whoa thanks to
5:30
carmine this is my new microphone very
5:35
nice UI I wanted to to get you that
5:38
microphone an appreciation to all the
5:40
time you're spending and helping us
5:42
inventors out so we'll we'll get going
5:46
today and I don't know if there's
5:49
anybody who has a time limit who might
5:51
want to go first is there any you guys I
5:53
want to go first you guys just want me
5:54
to choose I've already written down the
5:56
order if if that's okay but it's up to
5:58
you guys if you would if you would want
6:00
to jump in or you have a hard stop I
6:03
would let you go first if if needed
6:05
if not we'll get started if that's okay
6:08
all right so so we're just going to kind
6:11
of go from from left to right so we're
6:13
gonna use so gonna use Craig helper he's
6:15
gonna go first he's gonna introduce his
6:18
product and he's gonna do a little pitch
6:20
and we're gonna ask some questions about
6:21
it
6:22
and we'll go from there so let me let me
6:25
get the clock ready to start there nice
6:27
to meet you hi Bob nice to meet you
6:29
thank you alright when carmine says go
6:32
you just go ahead and tell me what you
6:34
got okay all right Craig ready and go
6:36
ahead
6:37
hi my name is Craig hilber I've been in
6:40
the building industry pretty much all my
6:42
life I came up with a product called
6:45
hide it I did as a sanitary storage
6:48
cabinet it recesses in the wall
6:50
it holds the toilet plunger the brush in
6:52
the bowl cleaner it comes with the
6:55
plunger it comes with the brush it's an
6:57
injection molded unit it has a removable
7:00
drip tray in the bottom the door is a
7:04
raised panel edged wood wood finish can
7:08
be painted or stained to match any decor
7:12
the packaging is set for the hide it
7:18
we've manufactured two runs in China and
7:22
we just brought the tooling over to the
7:25
United States about a month ago
7:28
we're hoping to start a run here in
7:30
Indiana this month I hide it right now
7:35
retails through homedepot.com and Amazon
7:42
I'm currently I just sold my last 200
7:45
I'm a I manufacture two models the
7:49
height of 200 is the one that we're
7:51
gonna go with
7:52
we're down like I said I just I just
7:54
shipped my last unit last week so I have
7:59
some samples that I'm holding on to to
8:02
be able to distribute to people but as
8:04
far as being able to buy the 200 we're
8:06
probably about a month out on that the
8:09
other unit that I developed is a height
8:11
of to 100 that was a metal unit with a
8:15
powder coat finish you know the great
8:17
thing about about the height it is I
8:19
mean it's easy it's easy to install it's
8:23
easy to clean it solves a problem it's
8:28
an attractive way to keep your plunger
8:31
and your brush out of sight it saves
8:34
space in your bathroom on your floor
8:38
eliminates embarrassing moments for you
8:41
and your guests it recesses in a 2x4
8:44
wall like I said it comes with a plunger
8:47
and the brush the door is reverse
8:50
Volken swing right or left okay can I
8:57
jump in Craig
8:58
you bet okay you're about to tell me the
9:00
price on this and then you got to the
9:02
other version and sell it right now for
9:05
49.99 okay okay let me ask you a few
9:08
questions what problem does it solve it
9:14
removes the toilet plunger from bathroom
9:16
floors
9:16
I mean if wherever you go and then
9:19
probably more so now after we've talked
9:22
you're gonna see hunters everywhere just
9:26
to say just as a point of friendly
9:28
advice yep
9:30
kind of start off your pitch that way
9:32
okay because think of it this way if if
9:35
if you're pitching me your product
9:37
whether you're pit up for me to buy or
9:39
maybe trying to get an investor or
9:41
whatever right if if you're pitching it
9:44
to me and if I don't have the problem
9:47
then I don't need your solution but if
9:50
you don't convince me I have the problem
9:51
now I'm open your solution okay I love
9:56
it it's a very very creative idea
9:58
you think so obviously we all have those
10:01
things around on the floor around the
10:04
toilet it's a brand looks terrible all
10:07
that kind of stuff right this recesses
10:10
into the wall great so do I have to have
10:15
to cut a hole in the wall the wall yes
10:17
okay yes would there be a version that
10:21
could be on the outside of the wall they
10:23
could just attach a flush mount yes yes
10:27
the only reason I'm bringing that up is
10:29
because some people might hesitate from
10:32
the thought of having to break through
10:34
the wall for the recession some may not
10:37
right some might you know yeah I'm sure
10:40
there's there's you know those out there
10:43
that aren't looking - yeah hold the wall
10:46
that might be an idea that it goes flush
10:49
on the wall right you know for something
10:52
so would that be a different a whole
10:54
different design no it would just there
10:58
would be a caller added to this one yeah
11:00
okay your price point is definitely good
11:04
it certainly solves a problem and you're
11:07
saying you have no inventory you're
11:08
bringing in inventory right now to the
11:10
US yeah I'm so I've sold 10,000 plus
11:13
good yeah and I'm not bringing in
11:17
inventory in we're gonna we're gonna
11:19
manufacture it here and into Indiana we
11:21
we we ship out of Joliet to Home Depot
11:25
and that's and the Amazon drop ships go
11:28
out of there too so you're able to
11:30
manufacture this in the USA as well yeah
11:33
for almost the same price
11:35
Wow that is great right so yeah you know
11:39
I and I think the lead times I mean it's
11:42
it's gonna it's gonna help a lot with
11:44
lead times I mean right now
11:45
manufacturing anything in China you're
11:47
looking at 60 days minimum to get the
11:50
product over here at least for me and I
11:53
think you know here in the states you
11:55
know we could be looking at a week we
11:57
can have how long have you been selling
11:59
these it's been about 10 years now when
12:02
L started yeah all right good good good
12:05
and you yes you said you're a builder so
12:07
you certainly undersigned understand the
12:10
design and and bad aspect well and I had
12:14
just completed a home for for a client
12:16
and and you know in the United States
12:18
toilets have a restriction I mean they
12:20
have a regulation as far as the amount
12:22
of water that they can use well in in
12:26
doing that they're not as efficient as
12:29
they used to be and you know this every
12:33
day I would get a call from this client
12:36
that you know their toilets were we're
12:38
not working and and there was a problem
12:40
they had four little girls and they
12:42
would just use too much toilet paper but
12:44
the thing that got me the most was is
12:46
every time that I went over there there
12:48
was a toilet plunger sitting on the
12:50
floor next to the toilet and we spent
12:53
thousands of dollars in this bathroom to
12:55
make it beautiful and shiny and clean
12:57
and you walk in there and boom right
12:59
next to the toilet is the toilet plunger
13:01
and you know I researched it I looked
13:04
around and I couldn't find anything even
13:07
through the Patent Office so you know
13:08
that's when I that's when I came up with
13:10
hide it and I filed for a patent in 2000
13:14
- and received a baton in 2007 relations
13:18
okay I I'd like it I would like to is
13:23
there a video on this that you have I've
13:27
done I've done other pitches online
13:30
through YouTube I did as far as an
13:33
installation I did one but I I can't
13:36
find that that video you just telling me
13:39
about it what here's what I'm thinking
13:41
Craig no because I need to take
13:44
something to you know other people and
13:46
show it to them the buyers right to find
13:49
a winner where our next step is so I may
13:53
be asking carmine to ask you maybe send
13:56
a link or something right yeah and I got
13:58
a I got a PowerPoint about the product -
14:00
okay great yeah very nice great job
14:05
Craig thank you yeah hey hey Craig did
14:09
you say the door was with a wood door is
14:10
it plastic mold it's a it's an injection
14:12
molded plastic door used ABS because ABS
14:16
will accept stain this is plastic oh it
14:24
is Wow this is the same plastic door
14:27
yeah Erin some wood yeah yeah I mean it
14:31
can be stained or painted so yeah that's
14:35
great that's good and I like I like the
14:37
part where the hinges where the door is
14:39
reversible right yeah it could be you
14:42
can swing it either way it has hinge end
14:45
points on both sides I think it's a
14:49
great idea I I just think that the other
14:52
version would be attractive as well
14:54
right flush against the wall right I
14:57
just think my gut tells me the recession
15:01
in the wall is gonna limit your market
15:04
it will some yes I agree right okay yeah
15:08
but if you offer both versions now
15:10
you've expanded your market exactly
15:13
right yeah very good good I like that I
15:18
hear a crowd noise in the background or
15:20
yeah yeah that's my sound effects guy
15:27
Oh is she back I thought you fired she
15:33
wasn't good I can't hear anything so I
15:37
okay all right very good
15:41
great job my pleasure thanks great thank
15:44
you all right good man that was good I
15:47
like that product there yeah all right
15:49
good so next up we're going to have
15:51
Susan curling and I think she's out of
15:55
Texas I'm gonna unmute her microphone
15:57
and thank you for the opportunity it's
16:04
our pleasure carmine mentioned Texas is
16:07
that where you're from Austin I think
16:12
everybody wants to move to Austin these
16:15
days you know everyone I've ever talked
16:17
to about this been to Austin they said
16:19
the same thing yeah it's almost getting
16:22
too much okay well when carmine says
16:27
he's ready than you you're ready right
16:29
Susan I'm ready okay Susan you whenever
16:32
you're ready you just get going okay Bob
16:35
I have a problem-solving product it's a
16:38
patent pending and the product is a car
16:41
door protector it is for those who love
16:45
their dogs but it's also for those who
16:48
love their cars as well
16:49
and the reason I can say that is I love
16:52
taking my dog for rides all the time I
16:55
can't turn her down when she's looking
16:56
at me okay come on and go but she loves
17:00
to stick her head out the window she
17:02
puts her paws up on my door and she's so
17:05
happy and I'm happy because she's happy
17:07
but at the same time I'm cringing
17:09
because she's scratching the interior of
17:11
the door so I thought surely out of all
17:15
the pet products that are out there
17:16
these days there's something that can
17:18
you know help me with that so I did my
17:21
research I went to several pet stores
17:24
here in Austin and I went online and I
17:27
came across a couple of products that
17:30
did solve the problem one was a Velcro
17:32
that you attached to your door and I
17:35
didn't want to go pro anything to my
17:37
door
17:38
and then the other one was had suction
17:41
cups on the windows had a couple of
17:44
clamps and I didn't like that it was
17:46
like a flat very boring so for about a
17:49
year I would see other people with their
17:52
dogs and right away I'd say oh my gosh
17:54
you know they're scratching this side of
17:56
the door so for about a year I have just
17:59
thought about that maybe I could come up
18:01
with something so as I laid in bed every
18:04
night I'd wake up and I think okay I
18:07
ended up going to a plastics company and
18:11
I found abs that would actually mold
18:15
very easy but still be sturdy I went to
18:18
an upholstery store and look for a top
18:22
of a phone that I wanted to use it would
18:24
just give a little bit of a padding you
18:26
know for their paws and then I went to a
18:29
fabric store just look for different
18:31
types of fabric that people would really
18:33
enjoy actually seeing in their car when
18:35
they look at it it's just not a thing
18:37
there it's just something they actually
18:39
can pick out for themselves and what
18:41
they like so I put it together my
18:44
husband made me out of wood I'm
18:46
literally making them out of my house
18:48
right now it's a wood mold and I take a
18:52
heat gun hold it down show me what it is
18:58
yeah can you see it oh wait a second
19:06
hold on I'm looking at carmine it's a
19:08
fog guard well he's a fall guy hey can
19:12
you see the sign oh oh okay oh that fits
19:15
over where the window is yes I've got
19:18
two little tabs here and it fits in the
19:20
window chamber and you can raise and
19:22
lower the window to any height that you
19:24
want and they are they just put their
19:28
paws up there and then I've got
19:30
different fabrics right here
19:31
what is the fabric it's all different
19:33
there are guys like this is a little bit
19:37
rough you know for the claws and all and
19:39
I have
19:40
a cotton this has actually been my my
19:43
most popular selling but I am selling
19:47
the ones that Susan the one you just
19:49
showed me like is embellished with
19:52
something or is it smooth fabric all the
19:56
saws yeah anyway so I am selling right
20:10
now in six pet stores here in Austin
20:12
good for you and they're selling very
20:14
well I've sold a few online and I've
20:17
sold a few of through my website and I
20:20
do have one store in California that
20:23
wants to start selling um and I just I
20:26
was able to go to supercede in Vegas
20:29
which is where all the thousands of
20:32
people go and I couldn't afford to be an
20:34
exhibitor but I went as an intent
20:35
attendee okay so I was able to talk to
20:41
some large manufactures and companies
20:43
because I was trying to find a licensee
20:44
for it something that a company could
20:46
add to their already traveling products
20:51
that they already sell so I've kind of
20:54
kind of it's not easy doing that as I'm
20:56
sure you know yeah but I told my
21:00
daughter I said they're all these dog
21:02
products there's nothing like mine I
21:05
think there's a looser cost
21:07
wieszczyk what's the price point $19.99
21:11
okay for one of us it cost me three
21:14
dollars to make okay alright that's
21:16
pretty good margin yeah so I'm making
21:20
them to order as people you know are
21:23
warning them I'm making them themself
21:25
right now how many could you make it
21:27
once at one time yeah in a day in 20
21:32
times how long would it take for you to
21:34
get 300 or to make 300 I could probably
21:37
get 300 out and 2 weeks or less okay
21:41
okay Wow yeah that's pretty good
21:44
so anyway there I was going over your a
21:48
questions Bob that you asked I got seven
21:51
a nice we're doing which one did you not
21:58
one day the one that I kind of thought I
22:01
wouldn't fit when it said yeah would it
22:03
fit the mass you know of your of your
22:06
people but then I thought most of the
22:09
people that are buying them are women
22:10
because I do take their dogs sing take
22:13
your dogs with them and all but the best
22:16
I did was really being a vendor and
22:18
going out and selling them and I've
22:19
given probably a hundred of them away
22:22
Wow but I am getting nothing but
22:24
feedback it's a very unique clever or
22:27
the words that people are using and also
22:30
I'm just looking for an opportunity to
22:32
get it out there to see like I say will
22:33
it sell and all that I do have a video
22:38
yeah we would definitely need to see
22:40
that so you can send that to carmine I'm
22:42
sure they do they do have it it shows
22:45
you how to apply it in the car how easy
22:47
it is and also anyway good very well
22:52
done very very well done interesting
22:55
product I mean I I think it's great I
22:57
mean you say it doesn't hit the masses
22:59
but you know the pet industry is so big
23:02
it's huge huge this would qualify for
23:05
the masses it is it is huge and and all
23:09
that I just I need to get it out there
23:11
and Bob that's that's right yeah a
23:14
solution part you know yes classic
23:17
example of what I said in the beginning
23:19
you have a great product but if enough
23:22
people are not seeing it are you doing
23:25
is spinning your wheels right right
23:27
I do I do vision there's no reason why
23:30
this product should be in every pet
23:32
store in my opinion yes it's just
23:34
another product well let's see what we
23:36
can do about getting it on TV ok thank
23:39
you so much Chad margin and everything I
23:42
think you'd uh his 1995 I'm just
23:46
thinking a perception of value 1995
23:49
might be a hair on the high side it is
23:52
it is the price points that they have in
23:55
these pet stores are crazy right all the
23:58
cards I really are for what the things
24:00:00
that they're asking but that's what the
24:02:00
retailers told me that they could
24:03:00
probably get for it and they are getting
24:05:00
that
24:05:00
his store so that's why I went with that
24:08:00
you know so I'm sorry
24:11:00
is it on Amazon did you say that no no I
24:15:00
tried it but it just got lost you know I
24:18:00
haven't had them I'm not going into debt
24:20:00
over this right now
24:22:00
so I'm really taking baby steps I'm not
24:25:00
a big budget good I just I can't get it
24:28:00
all out there like I'd like to okay all
24:31:00
right well let's see what what what can
24:33:00
possibly happen you never know okay Hey
24:37:00
very cool hey Susan would it doesn't
24:39:00
work with with hats do people take cats
24:43:00
don't like riding in the cars what was
24:49:00
the reason I ask is because bob has
24:52:00
Hawaiian and he drives us I like that
25:12:00
product that is pretty cool yeah see
25:16:00
that's the problem I have by that's why
25:17:00
you're on here I like all the products I
25:24:00
spend all my money on this podcast all
25:30:00
right very good
25:33:00
move along here so so our next presenter
25:38:00
is Heidi wicker I'm gonna unmute her
25:40:00
line Heidi
25:42:00
hi Bob how are you I'm fine no pressure
25:45:00
but we're two for two so far but no
25:47:00
pressure I don't know I don't know why I
25:54:00
don't know I don't know why I keep
25:56:00
starting this timer I don't even look at
25:58:00
it I keep that right all right Heidi
26:02:00
we're ready to go whenever you are go
26:04:00
ahead get started before where do you
26:08:00
live where sexist oh so we have two
26:11:00
Texans on today right I didn't where
26:13:00
Craig was from where's Craig from yeah
26:16:00
Colorado Oh Colorado
26:19:00
like to always give people credit where
26:21:00
they where they live it's so I D from
26:24:00
Texas go ahead add your and your
26:27:00
convenience go ahead thank you very much
26:30:00
so I am calling from Dallas Texas where
26:32:00
it's nice and hot and humid as I'm sure
26:35:00
it is in Florida oh yeah yeah which is
26:38:00
one of the reason I invented my products
26:39:00
is I have a really difficult hair I'm a
26:42:00
busy mom of two so I try to look into
26:45:00
how I can get out the morning and get
26:47:00
out of the house and the mornings
26:48:00
quicker and so one of the things I found
26:51:00
was a hair towel can make a big
26:53:00
difference so I bought all the hair
26:55:00
towels on the market and what I found is
26:58:00
if they either made my hair frizzy but
27:00:00
dried it quickly or they made it nice
27:03:00
and beautiful but it took forever for it
27:05:00
to dry and so I actually invented a hair
27:08:00
towel which is multiple layers so I'm
27:10:00
gonna hold this up so this is the hair
27:15:00
towel it's actually three layers yet
27:19:00
very well um and so it's nice and long
27:23:00
and it's got a smooth outer side where
27:27:00
it keeps your hair nice and smooth and
27:29:00
not and with no frizz and the inside is
27:32:00
actually a terry cloth material this
27:34:00
absorbs all the water and so it really
27:36:00
solved my problem of having my hair dry
27:39:00
quickly that kept it smooth and frizz
27:41:00
free and when I figured out what the
27:44:00
problem was I actually went online to go
27:45:00
buy one but there was nothing out there
27:47:00
and so I started making it right here in
27:50:00
Dallas and we're patent-pending we're
27:53:00
about three years in we're kind of in
27:54:00
our final stages of the patent but what
27:59:00
I found that a lot of other women had
28:01:00
that problem and when they figured out
28:04:00
what I was doing they asked me just to
28:06:00
make them one which I did for probably
28:07:00
about a year until I you know file for
28:10:00
the patent and stratus on it myself nice
28:13:00
nice so where do you sell them now so I
28:16:00
sell it on my website
28:18:00
ouch is a hair remedy calm I also sell
28:20:00
on Amazon and then a major haircare
28:24:00
manufacturer just opened a wholesale
28:27:00
account with me and they're gonna sell
28:28:00
on their website great congratulations
28:30:00
yeah it's super that's
28:32:00
okay let me ask you a couple of
28:34:00
questions what this item is all about is
28:37:00
a way for you to save time right okay so
28:40:00
if you could save five minutes every
28:42:00
move if you can save five minutes every
28:44:00
morning you know at the end of a week
28:47:00
you've saved a tremendous amount of time
28:48:00
and that's what that's one thing that's
28:51:00
asylum does does it do anything to the
28:53:00
hair this is make it softer does it make
28:56:00
it more management it makes it all of
28:58:00
those things because you're actually
29:00:00
having the exterior is actually soft as
29:04:00
you can kind of see what verses a terry
29:05:00
cloth towel which is rough or the
29:07:00
microfiber which is really popular right
29:08:00
now it's a really rough material and so
29:11:00
it roughs up the hair and it really puts
29:13:00
the frizz into your hair versus this is
29:16:00
you get the the smoothness of a nice
29:18:00
nice soft material but you still have
29:21:00
the absorbency of a towel aha okay good
29:24:00
good good good good good
29:26:00
do you have before-and-afters like I do
29:29:00
I actually have it on my website which
29:32:00
is a like I said hair remedy calm we
29:35:00
also have a video up on the website as
29:36:00
well of how to use it
29:38:00
now I by me looking you have very long
29:41:00
hair I did
29:43:00
right so without the towel how long on
29:47:00
average would it take you to dry your
29:49:00
hair in the morning if I was to use her
29:51:00
regulars how I would say would air dry
29:53:00
in about two hours and with hair remedy
29:55:00
how long does it take 15 to 20 minutes
29:58:00
Wow
29:59:00
that's it yeah well I'm able to keep the
30:01:00
towel in my hair longer um so it really
30:04:00
absorbs all that water in it and it's
30:06:00
three layers versus a towel which just
30:09:00
has the one terry cloth layer right now
30:11:00
there is a towel out there it's called
30:15:00
Aquos I think it's gone I don't know if
30:18:00
you've seen that I have they've done a
30:21:00
lot of testing mm-hmm I don't know how
30:24:00
the results are compared to what you're
30:26:00
talking about but but there is
30:28:00
definitely a market out there for it
30:30:00
there's no question about that I I think
30:33:00
it's you know and home shopping has a
30:35:00
big big hair category all right but and
30:41:00
I've had a couple of entrepreneurs go on
30:43:00
with I don't want to say the same thing
30:46:00
similar items there was one no with a
30:48:00
product called wraparound mm-hmm more of
30:51:00
a hair towel but did not make claims
30:55:00
like what you're talking about the speed
30:56:00
of it right
30:58:00
being able to dry your hair is so much
30:59:00
different right okay all right doggie
31:02:00
yeah guys I think the difference is a
31:05:00
lot of hair towels are out there aren't
31:06:00
really meant to dry their the hair
31:08:00
they're meant to do different things
31:09:00
like to keep the hair back or or to keep
31:12:00
air out in a while you're getting ready
31:14:00
this house actually meant to dry hair
31:16:00
and to keep it soft and for is free and
31:19:00
so it really kind of is the only one
31:22:00
that I'm aware of it that that's out
31:23:00
there like it great super super great
31:26:00
job and I I think we need to pursue it
31:29:00
great thank you so much yeah now do you
31:32:00
have like a video or Carmine's going to
31:35:00
be in touch with all of you after I go
31:38:00
back and talk to the buyers and the team
31:40:00
and everything about what I've seen and
31:41:00
then they will tell me okay we'd like to
31:44:00
have a sample we'd like to have this
31:46:00
we'd like to have that and then that's
31:48:00
would be our next step so do you have
31:51:00
all that stuff I do I have videos I have
31:53:00
pictures we make them right here in
31:55:00
Dallas and batches of 600 um so yeah
31:58:00
we've got lavender which is the color
32:00:00
you saw we have a blue and a black just
32:03:00
to kind of hit some areas yeah a lot of
32:06:00
people think when they think about
32:07:00
giving into TV shopping they think they
32:09:00
have to have 10,000 I'm sorry and and
32:12:00
sometimes that's the way it is but one
32:14:00
great benefit of HSN American Dreams is
32:17:00
that you can really get a product on
32:19:00
with maybe 300 400 500 depending on the
32:23:00
price point of course but it's it's more
32:26:00
of a test than anything else which is
32:29:00
just a great opportunity okay great boy
32:32:00
you hit a 3 for 3 today carmine 3 for 3
32:35:00
buddy well let me get somebody else hang
32:38:00
on a second very good very good
32:43:00
ok Heidi I don't know if you yet you
32:46:00
said is there any things I mean special
32:49:00
about the material or just the way it's
32:51:00
put together it's the way it's put
32:53:00
together um so it doesn't damage the
32:55:00
hair when you're drying it the way most
32:57:00
owls do so you really get the Ben
33:00:00
fits two different types of towel into
33:02:00
one um and the way we actually dart them
33:05:00
together so they're sewn together and so
33:07:00
it's been washable on top of everything
33:10:00
by any chance do you have animation on
33:12:00
this to show the fabric and weight woven
33:17:00
or woven yeah I don't I have I have a
33:23:00
towel right here that I kind of cut open
33:25:00
so um I don't know how well you can you
33:28:00
probably can't see it very well so it
33:29:00
has two different layers and it's
33:31:00
actually just cut open you can see how
33:34:00
the other one just sits on top of the
33:36:00
other one and and that's what touches
33:37:00
your hair and so it's not being damaged
33:39:00
but you still get the benefits of the
33:41:00
absorbency see I like the idea I'm just
33:44:00
thinking in terms of the on-air
33:46:00
demonstration right and you know how do
33:49:00
we show the speed elements of this
33:52:00
mm-hmm you're you're not gonna get you
33:56:00
know you're gonna get maybe eight nine
33:57:00
ten minutes on the air to do in my video
34:02:00
online
34:03:00
we know that when your hair comes out of
34:04:00
the towel it actually looks amazing
34:06:00
because it's not being roughed up by the
34:08:00
material so just having someone wet hair
34:10:00
put it up online and then have it come
34:12:00
back down you're gonna see a huge
34:14:00
difference in your hair versus when it
34:16:00
normally comes out of a towel you're
34:18:00
gonna have to restyle it and refix it
34:20:00
when it comes out of this towel my curls
34:23:00
are together you know wavy hair is gonna
34:25:00
look great straight hair is not gonna be
34:26:00
all frizzy and everywhere okay okay so
34:29:00
you have video to show that yes well
34:33:00
that's what's let's explore it more okay
34:36:00
great thank you so much I appreciate it
34:38:00
thank you
34:38:00
great job ID pressure there but boy you
34:42:00
brought it I did the video after video
34:46:00
comments my tester it works I can't
34:53:00
follow that alright my friend I think I
34:57:00
think we're we're good for today what do
34:59:00
you guys think any questions from me
35:00:00
from anybody any follow-up stuff all
35:05:00
right very good
35:06:00
have you watched American Dreams
35:10:00
okay all right I have those two great
35:13:00
it's a great show you use the products
35:15:00
on tonight I think I'll be on next let's
35:19:00
see on the 21st okay I have in fact that
35:23:00
wrap that wrapper oh I told you about
35:26:00
the hair thing it's not on the 21st okay
35:30:00
okay are you scheduled right now I don't
35:33:00
know you never know what happens right
35:35:00
yeah Bob walks in there and they go they
35:37:00
go Bob this is the product you're
35:38:00
selling today okay does that ever happen
35:43:00
when they switch products on you or they
35:45:00
a surprise to it a product it doesn't
35:48:00
happen as much now it has happened over
35:50:00
the years oh yeah or I remember years
35:53:00
ago when I was a host and they brought
35:56:00
me a product was an am/fm radio
35:59:00
telephone toilet paper dispenser and of
36:05:00
course the first question in my mind was
36:07:00
how the heck am I gonna sell this but we
36:10:00
went out there and and this was years he
36:12:00
this was in the 80s before even
36:14:00
cellphones and and we sold about a
36:17:00
thousand of them in about four or five
36:19:00
minutes Wow and the lesson I learned
36:22:00
that day was it's not important what I
36:24:00
think it's important what the viewer
36:27:00
thinks and how the viewer can be helped
36:29:00
by what you have so whenever you're
36:31:00
talking about your product you have to
36:33:00
put yourself in the viewers place in the
36:36:00
customers place you know you have to
36:39:00
answer the questions the objections that
36:41:00
they're having and and the way to do
36:44:00
that is to hit those benefits all the
36:46:00
time so if you put yourself in their
36:49:00
place as opposed to coming from your
36:51:00
perspective you're always going to be a
36:54:00
hit you know you're gonna have a greater
36:57:00
chance of connecting right yeah it's
37:00:00
been interesting yeah you can't argue
37:02:00
with that stuff you know you're doing it
37:06:00
all right thanks everybody I appreciate
37:09:00
it carmine that's always my friend great
37:11:00
job coordinating and creating all this
37:14:00
and look forward to the next one and
37:16:00
carmine for everybody else carmine we'll
37:18:00
be in touch with all of you in the next
37:20:00
one
37:20:00
well that
